T-Shirt Quilts

Don't know what to do with those t-shirts you no longer wear, but just don't have the heart to part with?  T-shirt quilts are a popular way to showcase those memories.  I specialize in traditional t-shirt quilts.  T-shirts will be cut to 12" blocks and set in a grid pattern with sashing between the blocks.  Please do not pre-cut your t-shirts.  You may, however, separate front from back and send only the side you want incorporated in your quilt.  I will use as much of the design as possible in the 12" block.  (If all of your shirts have large designs, I can go to a 14" block.  Please contact me for pricing.)  Your quilt will then be machine quilted, not tied.

Pricing is based on the number of t-shirts.  I charge $16 per t-shirt (9 shirt minimum).  This price includes everything:  stabilizer, sashing, batting, backing, binding, and all labor.  Sashing will be done with a cotton print in a color that will complement your t-shirts (If you have a particular color in mind, you may specify it on the order form).  A beige-tone print will be used for the backing.

Here are some suggested orientations/sizes:

12 shirts (3 across, 4 down) will make a throw size approximately 43" x 56"  ($192)

30 shirts (5 across, 6 down) will make a twin size approximately 68" x 83"   ($480)

36 shirts (6 across, 6 down) will make a queen size approximately 83" x 83"  ($576) 

42 shirts (6 across, 7 down) will make a king size approximately 83" x 96"   ($672)

Print this form to send with your t-shirts, along with a 50% deposit.  You will be sent a picture of your finished quilt.  Balance is due before quilt is shipped.
